“Colour is a power which directly influences the soul.”
Sarah Hill David is a west coast, Canadian artist living on Vancouver Island. Her work is tactile, vibrant, joyful and expressive, and finds its roots in nature. She is inspired by the colours and shapes found in her everyday moments and surrounding environment. In the early stages of her creative process, she often paints with her hands, subsquently weaving this playfulness with her more formal design sensibilities to create something unexpected that finds expression somewhere between abstract and representational. Through her art, Sarah finds peace of mind and a connection to her everyday.
